There's good music here notwithstanding the continuity problems inherent in any compilation which has been pieced together from disparate sources. My burner permits some volume balancing between tracks but there are other challenges as well. This morning I was able to confirm that on track #8: MELLOW; Jean Luc Ponty is in fact amplifying his violin through a Leslie organ speaker. It is well known that Rusty Young of the novel country rock band POCO put his pedal steel guitar through a Leslie. The sounds he made were more like an organ than a pedal steel. It sounds as is he's also using some type of WAH device, possibly the "Thomas" crybaby pedal. Mondo thanks to whoever recommended SUEDE: Dog Man Star in the VOL #1 comments. I haven't been this enthused about an album I'd never heard since discovering XTC: Skylarking. Both albums are very complex productions. Check them out.
More Leslie recommendations please.....I'm begging; especially tunes with unusual use of the Leslie besides organ.
glad you liked the Suede album..its very underrated..Bernard Butler is an awesome guitar player
